Fellow Home Theater Enthusiast!
If you’re someone like me, then you have been longing
to watch movies in a theater that will live up to your expectations.
If you are excited by the idea of watching movies in a great environment
that you control, and spending quality time at home with your
family, instead of fighting through lines and crowds…
…Then I invite you to keep reading!

I’m going to show you…
How to turn your love of watching movies
the way you want into a reality…
…with case studies of REAL PEOPLE who built their
dream home theaters, all detailed step-by-step for you…
Clearly, there is a problem at the movie theater.
Does any of this sound familiar?
-
You pick a seat in a theater, only to have
someone sit right in front of you.
-
You’re trying to enjoy your movie, but the
person behind you is talking on their cell phone during the show.
-
You are annoyed that you have to walk on
sticky floors.
-
You pay a ton of money to take your family to see a
movie, and then you spend 20 minutes watching the same commercials you
see on TV at home.
I eventually had enough, and decided to do
something about it. The solution was to find a way to build an environment
at home where I could enjoy movies the way I wanted. If you’re like me,
you’ve now been bitten by the home theater bug!
You have the desire
to have your own home theater, or maybe you're thinking about your next
theater. You're excited, thrilled even by the prospect of having your very
own silver screen... But, where to begin? How do you actually build a home
theater?

"The best investment I've made..."
Warren, I'd just like to thank you as I get started on
my own project. I'm a pretty frugal guy who likes to spend my
hard earned money as smartly as possible, even to the point of
looking for the least expensive and quality filled How-to-book
to do as much of my own work as I can (with friends w/skills of
course). I began reading and highlighting important points and
looked at the 6 theater links and this is totally
blowing my mind at the amount of detail and information that's
available in your book!!!
I searched high-end book stores, internet book
stores and even the DIY home stores with minimal satisfaction. I
decided to take a chance on your e-book and spend the couple
extra $$ (comparatively) and am absolutely positive no matter
how much I'm able to afford on my basement project it'll be 100x
better than if I blindly trusted and paid a ton of money to
a Home Theater builder! I look forward to showing you my
progress as it comes along up to the grand opening of my yet
unnamed project.
Thanks again.
-- Kevin Hurdle, USA
P.S. - This is by far the best investment I've made to enhance
the beauty and soon to be envy of my home. [...] GREAT JOB.

"Kept me awake till
2AM!"
I just wanted to let you know that that ebook kept me awake till
2AM! Book is written the way I like it… very
clear and understanding terms, very nice and simple explanation,
worth placing those pics that add a lot of value to the book.
You have done a tremendous job putting all that information
together and nicely arranged. I’m at page 180 and the reason I
didn’t want to continue was that then I would come by the end of
it and there would be not much fun and new things to learn I
thought to leave some for today.
This was a book that I could not skip a page or a paragraph.
Each sentence was carefully placed and sometimes I had to read
them again because I liked it.
Keep up the good work,
-- Sergio Georgi, USA |
You have tons of questions: How do you build a stage?
How tall should the riser be for the seating? What the heck is a
proscenium? Do I need a bass trap, and what is a bass trap anyway?
Sadly, most books on home theater don't answer these
questions for you. Instead you tend to get a rehash of the same basic
talks. You get pages and pages about understanding what surround sound is
and how to connect a VCR to your television. That is NOT what this book is
about.

This is a "must read" book for anyone
interested in home theater. Written in easy to read language, it
details each step of the home theater from design to opening
night. |
The Home Theater Book, From Concept to Completion:
Building Your Dream Home Theater is about just what the title
says, building a home theater. And, the book isn't limited to pages of
text, not by a long shot. In this type of book, you want photos, and The
Home Theater Book, delivers!
If you have questions about building the walls, imagine
having over a hundred photos of framing a home theater! If you have questions about stages and risers, imagine
having over a hundred photos of those projects!
In all, The Home Theater Book contains just over
700
photos, all showing the various stages of home theater
construction. Some theaters are built in the basement, some in the garage,
some in new additions, and more. These are not glossy coffee table
photos, rather they are hundreds and hundreds of photos by the
theater owners showing the exact details of construction, so yes, there
will be dust in some of the photos!
"A Uniquely Valuable Resource..."
The Home Theater Book by Warren Peterson is a uniquely valuable
resource for anyone planning to build or setup a home theater.
Although the book focuses on design and construction, it is equally
useful for people using an existing room who want to understand what
goes into creating an excellent home theater. The book is chock full
of great advice about room setup, acoustics, and much more.
Especially useful are the "I wish I knew" tips - hindsight
advice Warren obviously learned the hard way! Case studies are also
presented showing how five different people were able to realize the
home theater of their dreams. Extensive detailed photos are
presented throughout, so you can clearly see how each of these
theaters was constructed in great detail. Highly recommended.

These are NOT glossy photos designed to go in a coffee
table book that you look through once or twice. Nope, instead these are
hundreds of photos all taken during the actual construction of the
theater, dust and all. This is the real deal, the full details of what
happens when you take the plunge into one of the most enjoyable projects
you can undertake.
| "So much more than I imagined."
When I first examined The Home Theater Book, I was blown away by
the sheer number of photographs. Seeing every stage of the various
construction projects has helped me more than anything else in
planning my own home theater. I highly recommend this book!
-- Ken Brown, USA |
| "Finally, A book I can actually use!"
It seems that every other home theater book I've read (and I
think I might have read them all!) covers the same topics, the same
fundamental discussions. I don't need another book telling me that
HDTV is an upgrade from standard television! The Home Theater Book
detailed each step in building a home theater, and it is an
invaluable resource for anyone interested in, or building, home
theaters.
-- Steve Richter, USA |
| "The photos are amazing."
Just to be clear, Warren's writing is excellent. He is able to
write about technical issues in a clear and very easy to understand
manner. But, the thing that blew me away were the photos. To
actually see so many theaters from the first stage of framing to the
finished rooms is amazing. I have learned so much about building
home theaters, that I felt I needed to write this. So, thank you
Warren, this helped more than I could tell you.

| "That one section alone was worth it - and saved me money!"
I learned tons reading this book; it is one that I have gone back
to time and time again. But, one section of the book, and on first
glance it didn't stick out, turned out to be the thing that has
actually saved me money. Reading what theater owners would do
differently, or what they wish they knew prior to building their
theaters, that was great. Just one idea from that section made a
world of difference.

| "If only I had this book last time."
Currently, I am planning my next home theater. There sure are
lots of ideas I'll be using from this book on that upcoming project.
I wish I had this book several years ago when I built my last
theater, it would have saved me time and saved me money. Thanks for
the great reference.
